About Brow Lifts - Forehead Lifts
Forehead lift, also known as a brow lift is one of the long lasting cosmetic surgery procedures. It may last as long as 10 years or longer. Forehead lift can minimise the effects of aging; forehead furrows, frown lines, and drooping eyebrows. This is done by altering or removing the muscles and skin of the forehead that is causing the problem. Forehead lift can be done alone, or in conjunction with other procedures, such as nose surgery, eyelid surgery, or a facelift.
How Is The Brow lift and Forehead Lift Surgery Performed?
A forehead lift is usually done on an outpatient basis, in a surgeon's office, an outpatient surgery centre, or a hospital. Most forehead lifts are done under local anaesthesia, and usually combined with a sedative. General anaesthesia sometimes is used. Check with your plastic surgeon.
Risks of Brow Lift and Forehead Lift Surgery
When performed by a qualified plastic surgeon, this procedure has rare but minor complications. As with any surgical procedure, there are some risks, which should be discussed with your surgeon.
After Brow Lift and Forehead Lift Surgery
Most patients are back to work in one to two weeks. Your surgeon will give you detailed instructions about limiting your activities for the next few weeks.
