True Body Sculpting Developed and Taught by a Plastic Surgeon and Champion Body Builder
By Dr. Bruce Nadler
Do you find yourself working to the max, but not seeing maximum results in your physique? Based on my years as a plastic surgeon and champion body builder, I’ve developed a regimen which will help you achieve the sculpted look you’ve been striving for.
The Plastic Surgery Workout is different from other workouts in the following ways:
- Appearance specific
- Concentrates on how you look, not on sports you play
- Based on plastic surgery principles of change of shape
- Begins with careful analysis, comparing present contours with desired contours
- Exercises muscles unequally, taking into account each individual’s genetic ability to develop those specific areas
- Decides what needs to be developed and what needs to be reduced
- Other workout schemes will build muscles or tone the body
- The plastic surgery workout, based on the analysis, will build some areas, tone others and de-train areas to become smaller
- Time efficient since only targeted muscles need to be exercised
- Ongoing analysis to modify the workout, depending on the degree of response in the exercised areas
Analysis is based on the medical SOAP method of organization:
- Subjective - What is the final look we wish to achieve?
- Objective - Photographs, exact measurements of body fat, Basal metabolism, limb and torso girth, hormonal blood test values
- Analysis - How do these measurements differ from the ideal? What muscle must be built up? What has to be maintained by different methods of exercise? What has to be allowed to shrink? What is the correct percentage of body fat?
- Plan - The exact exercise and diet scheme combining resistance training with aerobic exercise
To summarize The Plastic Surgery Workout, I use the vowel system:
- A - appreciation of body form
- E - evaluation of changes needed to achieve this form
- I - innovative approach to exercise
- O - observe the change and constantly adjust the routine
- U - utilize different modalities of exercise for specific results
Plastic Surgery Diet
- Not a quick fix
- Evolving nutritional plan, not a fad diet
- Based on surgical principles of recuperative nutrition
- Quick weight loss diets are difficult to maintain
- Eating habits must be changed and evolve in stages to be maintained
- Too difficult to change all the parameters at once
Step 1 - Decrease to eliminate refined starchy carbohydrates. Increase protein
Step 2 - Divide food into 5-6 meals a day
Step 3 - Determine portion size and allocation of protein, carbohydrates, and fat
