CHIROPRACTIC CARE
Chiropractic care emerged in
the late 19th century centering around the belief that most
medical problems are caused by misalignments of the vertebrae;
these medical problems can be improved and/or cured by correct
alignment of the spine. Chiropractic care became popular over
the years, and now there are over 50,000 chiropractors throughout
the United States alone.
Today, chiropractic care is centered around detecting and correcting vertebral misalignment. People see chiropractors due to back pain, neck and shoulder pain, headaches, sports injuries, and work-related injuries. Treatment usually consists of some type of spinal alignment. Chiropractors insist that there are few complications if spinal manipulation is done correctly.
However, possible complications include leg weakness, bladder disturbance, and rectal and genital malfunction. Therefore, it is extremely important to find a reputable chiropractor if considering chiropractic care.
